  1. Update your legitimate GTA installation and confirm it launches on its own.

  1. Use the FiveM file picker and select the appropriate GTA5.exe in the actual installation directory.

  1. Do not select a shortcut or copied EXE. Check the currently supported GTA edition if FiveM rejects it.
