STRAIGHT TO THE SOLUTION

Play a Windows test sound through the intended headset. Check its cable, USB port and volume.

Open the Windows volume mixer while CS2 runs. Unmute it and inspect its output assignment.

Select the output device again in game options. Restart CS2 after switching devices.

Why can I only hear voice chat?

Communication audio and game sound may use separate outputs. Check both assignments.
