Controller buttons respond incorrectly or twice
- Temporarily disable Steam Input for WARDOGS and compare with the original state.
- Disconnect extra controllers, wheels, flight sticks and virtual gamepads.
- Verify game files. Record existing bindings before resetting and reassigning them in game.

Controls locked after “Mark Coordinates”
- If available, open Escape or the vehicle menu and attempt a safe exit.
- Check controls after respawning. Restart and verify files if chat remains locked.
- Avoid placing map markers while piloting for now; call out coordinates or ask a teammate to mark them.

USB, mouse and headset dropouts
- Test wired devices connected directly to the PC instead of a hub, dock or Bluetooth.
- Check firmware and device drivers; close peripheral software individually.
- Test USB power-saving settings selectively, record original values and undo ineffective changes.

Microphone selection resets every launch
- Under Recording in the Sound control panel, set the microphone as both Default Device and Default Communication Device.
- Temporarily disable unused virtual recording devices, then restart the game.
