Check the test scope

  1. Check the current playlist description and linked EA announcement. A missing option in regular Multiplayer need not be a defect.
  2. Install offered updates before comparing available audio options.

Compare squad voice

  1. Test the microphone with a squadmate. If squad voice works, document the missing proximity feature specifically.
  2. If nothing transmits, check Windows microphone permissions, input selection and mute state as general diagnostics.

Report a reproducible case

  1. Record the playlist, platform, build and whether the option is absent or an available channel is silent.
  2. Report that distinction in EA Forums. Configuration edits cannot unlock a feature that has not been made available.
