Separate reachability

  1. Check whether other players can reach that server and whether versions match.

Apply the hotfix

  1. Update to at least 1.0.14 or newer, which fixed a cache issue affecting remote joins.

Retest the connection

  1. Restart client and server. If unresolved, record backend, mod list and exact message.
