Record versions

  1. Read the client version and the version reported at server startup.

Update both sides

  1. Stop the server cleanly, back up the world and update client and dedicated server. Compare stable versus test branches too.

Check without mods

  1. Test a backed-up copy without mods. Restore normal operation only with compatible mod versions.
