Check the graphics driver first

  1. Install a stable Intel driver suitable for your Arc card, version 32.0.101.8993 or later for this B580 issue.
  2. Restart and repeat the same gameplay situation. This is a minimum version for the issue, not a claim about the latest available release.

Test the Steam launch option

  1. Close WARDOGS. In Steam: right-click → Properties → General → Launch Options.
  2. Record existing options, then add the parameter below without quotation marks.
  3. Launch the game and compare the hitches.

This disables GPU crash debugging. It does not automatically resolve unrelated crash causes.

Compare again after driver updates

  1. Remove the option and test again after a driver update.
  2. If hitches persist, record your GPU, driver version and results with and without the parameter.
