  1. Wait for saving to finish. Record the location, NPC and active quest so you can reproduce the situation.

  1. Leave active combat and try another accessible object. This separates one quest requirement from a general interaction failure.

Restart the game

  1. Quit normally and relaunch. Check the same interaction after loading before changing other settings.

Document recurrence

  1. If it returns, record the action immediately before it. Report the pattern, version and quest name; repeated reinstalls are not a targeted test.
